4th of July

We had a wonderful trip to Georgia this past week. We were able to stay there Wednesday, July 1st through Monday, July 6th. We have some wonderful friends who let us stay in their beautiful home while they were away on a missions trip to Peru. Their home is in the mountains and so peaceful. We were able to get some rest and do some support raising at the same time!  Perfect for me as I prepare to have sinus surgery on July 7th. 🙂

On Thursday, we were able to meet with Pastor David Bogran, the pastor of New Horizon Church (Spanish Church of First Baptist Woodstock). We were scheduled to speak at his church on Sunday. We enjoyed sharing our presentation with him personally and seeing him catch our vision. Pastor David and his wife were missionaries to Honduras for 15 years! They have a heart for Honduras, which thrills our hearts. 🙂 We enjoyed sharing with their church family on Sunday afternoon. Several of the members in this church are from Honduras and were excited that we will be going there full-time. I (Hannah) was even able to practice my Spanish skills at our display table. Trying to speak in my broken Spanish has encouraged and excited me as we continue to prepare for Honduras.

We are so thankful for the audio visual teams at every church. A lot of times these men and women go unnoticed for their hard work each week. They are always so helpful as they download and get our presentations ready.

On Saturday, we were able to spend some time with Pastor Harrison and Candy Bradley. He is the pastor of one of our supporting churches in Blairsville, GA- New Union Baptist Church. We love this church family and how they have taken us under their wing. We were also able to update their church family on Sunday night on our progress with support raising.

We enjoyed playing with the sparklers before the fireworks show!

Pastor Harrison’s son, James and his girlfriend, Casey, enjoying the sparklers too!

Pastor Harrison and Candy- What a blessing this couple is to us!

And who doesn’t enjoy a snow cone? 🙂

Sunday of course was a busy, but exciting day! We enjoyed sharing at New Horizon and New Union. David and I even laugh at how fast we can put up our display table now. It has become a quick routine! 🙂

Looking Ahead…

July 13th-July 27th– We leave for Florida! David’s family lives in Fort Lauderdale. We plan on meeting with individuals, pastors, and speaking at churches in the area. We will be there for about 2 weeks! We would appreciate your prayers!

August 2nd– Church in Shelby

August 9th– Union Grove Baptist Church in Lexington, NC (Hannah’s home church she grew up in)

August 16th– Drury Dobbins Baptist Church in Ellenboro, NC

August 23rd– Ivanhoe Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC

We are excited at how God is working! Praise the Lord we are currently at 38.4 % of our needed monthly support! God is continuing to raise that percentage, and we are humbled by that. Thank you to all of our supporters!! We love and appreciate all of you! 🙂
