We’re Back and at Full Steam!

Greetings from Honduras. We arrived home on May 1st and are continuing to adjust back home to the heat, language, and culture of Honduras. We wanted to share an update of what God did through people just like YOU during our visit back home and also what is planned for this year.

Celebrating David’s birthday

We were fortunate to spend six weeks in N.C. and surrounding states. It was such a refreshing time to be back with family, friends, and our supporting churches. We had the opportunity to celebrate Nicholas’ 3rd Birthday, spoke at 14 different churches, and raised funds for our ministry vehicle. We praise the Lord for a wonderful trip. It was a blessing to see many of you and catch up on what God has been doing in your lives.

We enjoyed spending Easter with Hannah’s family this year.
We praise the Lord Nicholas got to celebrate his 3rd birthday with both sets of grandparents. This was the first time in his life that both sets of grandparents have been together at the same time with him. It’s so hard being far away from family, but we praise the Lord for the sweet time we had together.

During May 16th-18th, SCORE, Renacer Church, and OIC (Overseas Instruction in Counseling) teams ministered during the 3rd Module. Many pastors, church leaders, and other missionaries attended this 3 day training in biblical counseling. We were able to host a missionary in our home during the week of preparation and capacitation. David was able to help translate the curriculum, do logistics, and help get things ready. Praise the Lord for a successful 3rd module. The next module is set to be in November of this year.

As for Hannah, she had a great time kicking off the Kid’s Club once again this past week. The kids had a Bible lesson, time of worship, and enjoyed some water games outside together. We had a few new faces and praise the Lord for continuing to use this ministry for his glory. Please continue to be in prayer as we reach out to the community around us and invite them to Kid’s Club and small group. Our church and SCORE team are praying about the La Lima Church plant for this year and trusting the Lord will continue to open doors to reach out to those around us.

Moreover, some of you may ask: what about the fundraisers and love offerings for the vehicle fund?  We are super grateful, and praise the Lord for the money that came in. We were able to raise almost $11,000 for a ministry vehicle.  We are extremely grateful for your sacrifice and help with hosting fundraisers and love offerings.  Thank you for giving generously out of your own pockets to make this possible.  We have left the money in a designated U.S. SCORE vehicle account, and will continue to save each month out of our monthly income, and add any one time gifts that arrive during the next few months, to the vehicle fund.  Vehicles in Honduras are very expensive, and don’t devalue much by miles or years.  We, therefore, are fervently praying for the Lord to provide a reliable vehicle in Honduras.

We were fortunate to share about our ministry in 14 different churches while home. We praise the Lord for all the funds that were raised for a vehicle.

~ For an amazing furlough in the U.S.

~ We praise the Lord for good health during our time home and even as we have readjusted back to life in Honduras.

~ We praise the Lord for the money raised towards a ministry vehicle.

Prayer Request:

~ Please continue to pray for us and our SCORE team as we continue to reach out to our community and invite them to small group, Kid’s club, and church.

~Please pray for direction and the Lord’s timing for the La Lima church plant.

~ Pray for the SCORE team, as they travel the country teaching church youth groups on Biblical principles and sexual purity.

~ Pray for the SCORE team, as they search for a location to host everyone who will be attending the training modules of biblical counseling in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.  The SCORE team has made two one week trips to the capital and surrounding cities, inviting pastors and church leaders to the first module in November of 2019.  A third trip to the capital will be made soon, as we search for a facility to host this much needed training in biblical counseling.

As always, you are welcome to come take part of what we are doing here in Honduras. We would love to invite you to come on a missions trip with a team or even as an individual or family. Let us know if you are interested.  We have a guest room for a single couple, and airbnb’s all around us.

Much love from Honduras,

David, Hannah, and Nicholas Mora
