2018 Ministry Overview

We praise the Lord for a fruitful ministry in 2018. Here are some of the many things the Lord did in Honduras, through SCORE International working alongside the local churches.  Moreover we are excited to see what all God is going to do in 2019 and beyond.

~SCORE hosted many U.S. Teams- Medical, Construction, Sports, Training in Biblical Counseling for Church Leaders, and more.

~SCORE hosted many One Day Camps in both private and public schools.  Over a 1,000 students got to hear the Gospel of Jesus and many have come to Christ because of these one day camps.  The one day camps have four sessions.  Two are games and two are lessons on Biblical principles and moral values.  We also teach awareness concerning dangers on the internet, bullying, sexting, and facing our daily giants in life, by placing our trust in the Lord.

~SCORE taught youth groups in multiple churches around the country about what the Bible teaches concerning sexual purity.  Each teen event was four to five hours long.  The church leaders and parents also have the opportunity to pray with their teens and encourage them to dedicate their hearts, minds, and body to the Lord and to their future spouse in purity.

~ SCORE was able to begin the first OIC Biblical Counseling Conference here in Honduras with 2 modules. The next 2 modules are scheduled for 2019.

~SCORE Team finished another round of the Timothy Initiative Complete Bible and doctrinal Survey Classes  (Meets once a week in the church).

~SCORE Team was able to travel to various locations in Honduras to share about the ministry of SCORE and Biblical training in counseling, with the goal to begin the next Biblical counseling training in the capital of Honduras (Tegucigalpa).

~ Hannah started a weekly English Class in our home and she now has 5 students attending.

~ Hannah and Megan Hansen were involved in planning two baby showers for Honduran ladies.  It was both a time of sharing the gospel to these mothers to be and a time to love on them with the abundant love of Christ.

~Neighborhood Kid’s Club began in our home and continues each week. It is every Thursday afternoon and is a time of worship, Bible Lesson, Scripture Memory, Craft, and Snack.

~Hannah started singing in our church a few times a month and continues to also help with nursery duty in our church.

˜David started a welcome/security ministry in our church and now has a staff of church men who volunteer one Sunday per month in welcoming and assisting with the security of our local church.

~Because we live 10 minutes from the international airport, we were able to host 10 vehicles (over the 2018 year) on our property.  These vehicles belong to different mission organizations (Fellow missionaries) that fly out to the states, and are trying to find a safe place to park their vehicles, while they are home on short trips or furloughs.
